Whether it's movies, photos, books, reviews, blog entries,
private diary entries or metal lunch box collections, you can catalogue it on
Data Puddle.
Fully Expandable
If it's not already on Data Puddle, you can create it! With the unique
catalogue constructor, you can define your catalogue with a set of text boxes,
drop down lists, and check boxes. It makes the process of entering records in
your catalogue so much easier. Select the genre of your movie from a check box
list or the format from a drop down list. Each catalogue entry can even have a
series of images attached to it.
Simple Yet Powerful
To put it simply, each book you see above represents a catalogue. Each page
contains a catalogue entry. An entry in the movies catalogue might be 'The
Matrix' or 'Titanic'. Each entry in that catalogue conforms to a specified set
of attributes that define that catalogue. Example? Each entry in the movies
catalogue can contain a genre, rating, director, running time, format (DVD,
VHS) etc. When searching through your movies catalogue you will be able to
filter your results by any of these attributes.
Privacy Protection
Data puddle has been created as a public library. Anything you put
on the site we encourage you to share with the rest of the world. However, if
you want to make an entry or an entire catalogue private, you can do so. You can
even choose to share specific entries with only those people that you place on
your `contacts` list.
Free
Unlike other cataloguing applications on the market, Data Puddle is completely
free. You won't find a single credit card form anywhere on the site. Also, with
the benefit of being an online application, you can add, edit, view and share
your information and images from anywhere around the world.
Help Is Only A Click Away
Scattered throughout the site you'll find a collection of tiny question mark
images. Just
click on the image to recieve a detailed explanation relating the function you
are performing or the page you are on.
Skin It!
Not only are the catalogues fully customizable, but so is the entire design of
the site. Take a look at the skins available by clicking the [Skins] menu item.
If you are logged in, you can change your skin in the [My Preferences] menu.
Data Puddle will remember which skin you prefer when you next log in.
